The artist is analyzing life at two levels, both physical existence and the aura that surrounds life. Living and non-living things exist in the form of substances as well as energy. Energy is what sustains life in nature and this painting is a tribute to this energy. The tropical regions hold the power to sustain the diverse life forms and are symbolic of the wealth of nature which needs to be protected.
