Mighty Mountains, 2023

The Mighty Mountains is an artwork that reflects the power of nature by depicting the flow of lava using ropes. The artist links it with the human mind and its deeper layers of powerful feelings which often flow out creating waves across the world. It can create a lasting impact like a mighty volcanic eruption. The outpouring of minds can be cathartic and can eventually heal wounds. The artist has used different sizes of rope to interpret the lava flowing down from the tip of the mountain. The process of creating the texture using ropes is very tedious as it is difficult to cut and shape the rope. The artist is equating the stubbornness of the lava rock with that of the medium she has used.
